Is there any method in .Net for selecting messages based on MQMD fields other than the Message ID or Correlation ID.
In another thread, there was a discussion of routing messages based on ApplIDData. Could multiple clients monitor the queue, and only get messages with their ApplIDData? In JMS, I would use a selector for a custom property I think.
Maybe this is a questionable design, I'm just wondering.
EDIT -- Moderator, please move to the API forum? I was going through multiple posts when this question came to me, and I posted it in the wrong forum. _________________ Thanks.
You may want to look at the enhancements of V7 for your quest.
As of before V7 you could use XMS(see support packs). Be aware however that the selector as of before V7 is not optimized and any field used beyond msgid and correlid will seriously degrade performance. You even can degrade performance if you do not use msgid and correlid in the provider specific way... _________________ MQ & Broker admin
