Hi,
I have one query abt clustering please suggest your ideas.
one queue CLUQ1 is created in cluster CLUSTER1 on queueu manager QM1 ,CLUSTER1 is having around 150 queue managers
are part of the cluster.
initially The queue CLUSQ1 is put enabled I have altered to put disabled
everything looks fine abt clustering information.
problem is :
If I do dis qc(CLUSQ1) ON QM2 which is part of cluster CLUSTER1
It shows put enable still.
and from repositories it shows that put disabled it is fine.
but the clustering information is not getting updated on QM1....
SYSTEM.CLUSTER.* and channels are running fine.
If i do refresh on that cluster CLUSQ1 ,around 150 queue manager will be affected and it takes 1hr 30 min
it impacts buisiness hrs.
Please provide all your alternative soulution ...ThANKS A LOT |

Try putting a message using amqsput using qmgr name that has the issue.
if that does not work, try reclustering the Q and/or channel. _________________ *forgetting everything * |

This is normal. Do a clustered put on QM2 to that queue and make sure that QM2 is not hosting that queue. After the put the repository in QM2 should have the updated info.
IF QM2 is hosting the queue make it put disabled.

Make sure your communications are flowing fine between QM2 and it's repository and inspect messages on cluster xmitq. (Use RFHUTIL to look at the correlid which should give you the channel name). Check logs on both QM2 and it's repository. This should tell you if you have a communications problem. Maybe you should have issued the refresh cluster on QM2 and not on the repository...
If you have a communications problem between QM2 and it's primary repository (the one you defined the clussdr chl for) you need to resolve that problem first. As long as QM2 is unable to notify a Full Repository, none of the other qmgrs in the cluster can be updated as of the status of its queues.
Note that if you issue refresh cluster(mycluster) repos(yes) on a PR that has communications problems with its FR you have just effectively removed that PR from the cluster where the PR is concerned. The PR might still be able to receive from the cluster but any sending operation is compromised because until your comm problems are resolved the PR has no longer knowledge of clustered queues that are not hosted by it, or of other qmgr in the cluster
In other words you need to try this in a dev/QA environment first!
