Hi All
I need some clarification on MessageBroker .
I wanted to know the Disadvantages while using messagebroker and
Is there any alternate tool for replacement of Messagebroker...?
i had searched in the info center and also in google but could only find the advantages of broker not the disadvantages..
need some information/links....... |

Hi,
there are no disatvantages.
I guess advantages and disadvantages strongly depend on your requirements. I would rather look for can do the job or can't do the job. |

Thanks for the reply
I just wanted to know Is there anything like MB can't do and anyother Integration tool can do.(It can be handling huge msgs ,huge no.of interactiond with databases..etc)
i guess my client was seriously searching for an alternative to MB.
He wants me to suggest an alternative for MB(even though i said there is no alternative) |

The two main programming languages in MB are both Turing Complete. |

I would say that the message broker can do just about anything.
If it has one disadvantage, it might be performance. If you were to write a specific transformation/routing, it would be faster than the broker. However, yours would handle only your situation. The broker does anything to anything.
Once again, it comes down to what do you need it to do and what are your alternatives. |

Well there are alternatives to WebSphere MB.
There are programs that perform the same tasks and may be called message brokers and are or are not from IBM...
The question really is: What other "canned packages" match your requirements and at what advantage / cost?
