We are using mqsi to do a request/reply to a mqseries cics bridge on os/390. We currently have a flow which calls a cics program which works perfectly if it is requested from nt or aix. The flow sets up the MQMD with the replytoxmgr and the replyto queue. We have an alias queue set up with the same name as each queue manager defining the transmit queue and qmgr. The problem is the new flow works perfectly if we put a message on a queue defined on an NT queue manager - it goes to os390, executes the cics program and the reply comes back. When we deploy this flow to an aix box, it goes to the same os390 queue manager (using the same transmission queues etc) we get the rc 2092 MQRC_XMIT_Q_USAGE_ERROR. I do not understand why this is happening. Does anyone have any ideas?
You get the error on the AIX box? If so, check the attributes of the Remote Queue definition. Make sure the XMITQNAME attribute is not blank and that it points to a local XMIT queue. Check THAT queue's paramaters and make sure its usage is set to MQUS_TRANSMISSION. _________________ Peter Potkay
