Has anyone tried running WMB on a Sun T2000 or T5220 server?
Would be interested to know what kind of performance would be expected.
Does WMB lend itself to being on a multi threaded type box or does it have to use big CPUs?

Thanks

Is a very difficult question to answer. Performance depends and many factors and one of which is hardware. A good place to start for performance of MB is the Support Packs (although as far as I can remember it doesn't mention anything about particular platforms).

The problem I'm seeing at the moment is that there are many processes in a locked state for around 90 to 100% of their cpu time. I'm not sure if this is a single threaded issue with WMB and or MQ if it is a tuning issue on the box. mqsistop and connecting in from the toolkit is reaching the timeout values for the configmgr and broker, despite the box only showing around 7% utilisation.

Has anyone else seen something similar?
