HI
I was testing the connectivity from on of my client machine. for simple testing i have set the MQSERVER variable and tested the connection using amqscnxc and it connected successfully. when i tried to keep message in the connected queue i am getting 2058 (MQRC_Q_MGR_NAME_ERROR) . Not sure why i am getting error even i successfully connected to the QM using amqscnxc.. I have tested the same from my local machine and i am able to connect and also keep messages from in the queues of the QM.
Can any one throw some light on reasons of getting 2058 error in the first case ?
hrvis18# /opt/mqm/samp/bin/amqscnxc -x 135.11.50.34 -c SYSTEM.ADMIN.SVRCONN
Sample AMQSCNXC start
Connecting to the default queue manager
using the server connection channel SYSTEM.ADMIN.SVRCONN
on connection name 135.11.50.34.
Connection established to queue manager MQPROD
Sample AMQSCNXC end
hrvis18# /opt/mqm/samp/bin/amqsputc UCR.OUT MQPROD
Sample AMQSPUT0 start
MQCONN ended with reason code 2058 |

This probably means the queue manager listening on the address/port in your MQSERVER environment variable is not named MQPROD.
EDIT: Or, more precisely, the listener listening on the address/port in your MQSERVER is not connected to a queue manager named MQPROD.

Is this Windows? If so, where is the set command? If UNIX, where is the export command? I don't really believe you successfully typed MQSERVER space =SYSTEM....
Please post the entire keyboard conversation from setting the environment variable through the amqsputc. _________________ I like deadlines. I like to wave as they pass by.
