hi,

Is wmqi(os390 v2.1) capable to support image? ie jpg, ppt etc format. apart from the application data, we may need also to route the image particularly for our signature verification to various location.

You can have binary data and application data in the same message, you will however have data conversion issues (especially since you are using OS/390).

The way to do this with mqseries is to use a format of MQNONE, this means that MQSeries will apply no data conversion and it is the applications responsibility to perform data conversion upon the application part of the message. I am not sure how MQSI deals with a format of MQNONE, you will probably have to write some ESQL to convert between code pages, or you could write an MQSeries data conversion exit and allow MQSeries to perform the conversion.
