Hi,

A nice simple one for you guys. Where in your file system to you keep your support packs.

/home/mqm/support
/var/mqm/support
/opt/mqm/support

I want to use a standard location for all MQ related support packs as we currently have them all over the place.

Any recommendations appreciated

i keep them in

/home/mq/Installable/SupportPacks

Installables in b/w as we also maintain log of scripts etc

There is no mandated or universal standard for locating SupportPacs and other useful MQ tools and utilities. Its best to keep them away from /opt/mqm and /var/mqm as the layout of these is standardised by the MQ product installation. The mqm users home directory seems to be a common pattern across many customers that I have looked at, eg. /home/mqm/tools, /home/mqm/MS03
