We have just installed MQ v7.x onto a Red hat environment. I am trying to establish connectivity from QMGR A(v5.3 solaris) and the new QMGR B( v7.x Red Hat). I have created a standard SDR -> RCVR environment in both directions. QMGR B --> A works fine. When trying to connect from A --> B my SDR is staying in a binding state. I am able to telnet to QMGR B on port 1414 w/o issue. BUT.. the QMGR logs don't show me connecting. Vice Versa from B--> A telnet shows up in the A QMGR logs. The listener is running, perhaps as the wrong user? (Currently as mqm). Any help please.

Any FDC's generated? Or are u sure that u do not have 2 Qmgrs using the same port on the 5.3 machine.

If possible can you paste the scripts that u used to create the connection.

The QMGR A simply says channel starting, QMGR B sees nothing. I am not using any scripts to start the channel. This is being done from the MQSC environment.

I ment there could be connection name error or a Xmit Q missing or something like that. It would be better if u can paste the commands that u used to create the objects.
