I have successfully updated MQ to 6.02 and eclipse to 3.0.2 and I have copied the IS02 file to the broker eclipse directory. However when I open the preference page on MQ explorer the Broker does not appear as a plugin.Please help

Hello,
There could be a few issues here.

1. The link file needs to have the '/' the wrong way round for windows. Does your link file look like the following?

eg. path=C:/is02

2. You may also need to run the MQExplorer with a -clean option to instruct MQExplorer Eclipse to reload its packages.

3. Does your is02 directory contain the unzipped is02.zip file and did you unzip with a tool other than windows unzip? Windows unzip can have trouble with long pathnames.
