Hi MQ Experts,

I am new to MQ. I want to know why I am getting "AMQ8420: Channel Status not found." when I executing " display chstatus(*)". Below is my channel definition:

start CHANNEL(CHLX)
5 : start CHANNEL(CHLX)
AMQ8018: Start WebSphere MQ channel accepted.
display chstatus(*)
6 : display chstatus(*)
AMQ8420: Channel Status not found.

The channel is inactive (nothing is attempting to use it), therefore it has no current status.

If a client app is connected to the qmgr using this channel, the "display chstatus" command will show that there is one instance of the channel running.

There are lots of other states that a channel can be in besides running.
