Hi experts,

I need some information regarding point-to-point and hub & spoke integration with legacy system like CRM, SAP, Psoft etc.

Also I would like to know some brief idea about require components (adapters, interfaces, security etc.) to implement integration with legacy systems.

I would like to know short info :-
How enterprise integration works with legacy systems?
What are the possible ways to connect legacy systems?
What kind of security require in this integration (SSL, Firewall, Authentication etc)?

If anyone has a good architect picture/links which has explain the required components and flow to destination legacy system then pls forward me it will very helpful for me.

thanks.

Manish ... your question is very very broad.

Are you interested in IBM WebSphere Message Broker or IBM WebSphere
Application Server? I think it would be best if you spoke to an IBM sales
consultant about your needs, since this is generally a technical forum,
dealing with technical hitches.

Hi friedl.otto

Thanks for quick responding.

Yes..We are using WebSphere Message Broker for this integration setup.

I am in the process to opening account with IBM Sales and it will take some more time.

In short, I would like to know what are the possible ways to connect to legacy systems using message broker (like using adapter, esb, etc..etc..)

What are the components/security require to setup integration with legacy systems.

Where EDI comes picture while integration with legacy systems?

Sorry for asking many questions. But at this stage looking some small integration architect. If you have any link then i will go through it..

thanks
manish

EDI is quite "old" technology and has it's own adapters / subsystems to make it fit into your ERP systems.
Unless you know about a set of ANSI-X12 parsers nodes+ mapper nodes to your current ERP I would suggest you go the classical route (gentran or whatever else you are using).

Enjoy
