I have message flow with one MQInput Node and one TimeoutNotification node.

Now, when I set in the BAR file additional instances to deploy, am I correct in saying that there will be multiple instances for the MQInput node portion but only ONE instance for the TimeoutNotification portion?

I think it would depend on the version on MB you are using. You can set node level instances in WMB 6.1. In WMB 6.0, it is my understanding that there is a common thread pool. So, you may not be able to decide which node gets the threads
