Hi
Is it possible to clear the sharded memory however the Qmanager is running onto Sun server.

OS :SunOS 5.8
MQ Version :530.12 CSD12

I am getting following exception though Qmanager is running ..

1)

07/09/08 15:07:08 AMQ7468: The oldest log file required to perform media recovery of queuemanager xxxxx is S0000000.LOG.EXPLANATION:The log file S0000000.LOG contains the oldest log record required to recreateany of the objects from their media images. You can't clear shared memory while the queue manager is trying to use it.

The message you cite about the log files is not an error, and is not related to shared memory.

Please review the System Administration Guide section on linear versus circular logging.

AMQ7468 and AMQ7467 are informational messages produced when a queue manager is configured for linear logging, they are not exception messages. If you are running out of storage you need to identify redundant logs and 'manage' them to a different location, before the file system fills; there is a support pack which will do this.

It is possible to clear shared memory segments, but it's not usual to do so unless there is a problem, and certainly not on a running queue manager.

You have not really stated what your problem is, and the two things you have posted above appear (at first glance) to be totally unrelated.
