Hi
I am trying to apply SSL authentication on SDR/RCVR channels pair and I would like to apply authentication only - without encryption. KDB and certificates on both sides were prepared ,I configured SSLPEER on RCVR channel , but it is ignored during channel start. I can put any CN and channel always starts. But when I configure also SSLCIPH - then authentication is working fine and settings form SSLPEER are checked and only qmgr with specified CN is able to connect RCVR channel.
Please advice if it is possible to set authentication only- without encryption ? Did I missed any settings.

If you don't set SSLCIPH, SSL will not be invoked, even if you have set SSLPEER. Have you looked at NULL_SHA or NULL_MD5 which are described as "no encryption"?
