I'm seeing what I believe to be odd behaviour using MA01 to write an allocated dataset that was allocated with LRECL=404. Have a AIX system that is putting to the qremote as a single message. The qlocal on z/OS is triggered to run MA01 writing to the dataset.

The odd thing is that after the job completes the LRECL changes to 1028.

//Q1 EXEC PGM=Q,
// PARM=('-mMQ2 -IPVN.TEST -c37')
//STEPLIB DD DISP=SHR,DSN=SYSC.Q.UTIL.LOAD
//SYSPRINT DD DISP=SHR,DSN=UPDATE.PVN

Any ideas?

Thanks
