Hi,
I want to connect to MQ server 5.2 which is installed in OS/390. i want a java application(java binding mode) by which i can send data to a queue on the MQserver. And let me know all the settings on the both sides.

For java applications do i need any setting at server side for the user name like that...

Unless your Java program is running on OS/390, you cannot use binding mode (if I understand application correctly). Binding mode can only be used to connect to a local queue manager (e.g. on the same box or LPAR). You will need to use client mode to connect to the OS/390 queue manager (e.g. Java program on WinNT and queue manager on OS/390).

Also, you will need to have the "Client Attachment Feature" install on the OS/390 LPAR where the queue manager is running. It is a MQSeries addon product (it is not cheap!!).

client attach is not there at server side on OS/390 with us at present we are looking for that...
