Hi

I've two queue managers (MQSeries 6) and want to create a cluster, one is local the other is remote.

Add the end of the dialog I see:

Create cluster: "NEWCLUSTER"

Add queue managers: "local_qm" and "qm_latest on '10.8.2.131(1415)'"
Create cluster-receiver channels:
local_qm: "TO.local_qm"
qm_latest on '10.8.2.131(1415)': "TO.qm_latest"

After some time I get the operation failed with 0 (AMQ4512)
I checked the paths of the installations and the path variable.

Has somebody an idea how to troubleshoot this?

I used the following statements to grand access rights to the other user:

D:\Program_Files\IBM\WebSphere MQ\bin>setmqaut -m qm_latest -t q -n SYSTEM.DEFAULT.MODEL.QUEUE -p sssrk +get +browse +inq
The setmqaut command completed successfully.

D:\Program_Files\IBM\WebSphere MQ\bin>setmqaut -m qm_latest -t q -n SYSTEM.MQEXPLORER.REPLY.MODEL -p sssrk +inq +browse +get +dsp
The setmqaut command completed successfully.

D:\Program_Files\IBM\WebSphere MQ\bin>setmqaut -m qm_latest -t queue -p sssrk +open
AMQ7097: You gave an authorization specification that is not valid.

D:\Program_Files\IBM\WebSphere MQ\bin>setmqaut -m qm_latest -t q -n SYSTEM.MQEXPLORER.REPLY.MODEL -p sssrk +inq +browse +get +dsp
The setmqaut command completed successfully.

D:\Program_Files\IBM\WebSphere MQ\bin>setmqaut -m qm_latest -t q -n SYSTEM.ADMIN.COMMAND.QUEUE -p sssrk +get +browse +inq +put
The setmqaut command completed successfully.

D:\Program_Files\IBM\WebSphere MQ\bin>setmqaut -m qm_latest -t qmgr -p sssrk +all

Thanks
Christina

Christina,

To make things easier I usually grant +allmqi as authorization and then remove what I want to restrict. I know that +allmqi gives me a valid set for most programming operation including get and put...

This said in V6 you need some additional authorizations concerning channels. Look them up in the manual.

I would expect however if you are configuring the qmgrs that you would be running under the mqm group authority?

Hope this helps.
Enjoy
