Hi All,

Please help me to resolve one more hard issue.

Question is: is there any API or utility to export deployed resources
(BARs or message sets and flows) from the broker?

We are implementing set of utilities for the Security Department of the
big bank. We've been asked to develop an utility to check integrity of
the resources deployed to the broker.
If someone changed message set or flow somehow (redeploy or even directly inside broker database) the
security administrator (when he run the utility) should see that
resource was changed.

I researched broker runtime commands and Config Manager Proxy API but found no way to export deployed resources.

We are using WMB 6.1

you need to have your bar files under version control. In the properties of the flow in the broker admin perspective you will be able to see when the flow was last changed and when it was last deployed.

The ACL list on the config mgr will control who can deploy to the broker...

Enjoy

Not that good... ACLs is not enough for this customer, they would like to check integrity of the files actually installed to the broker.

But thank you anyway.

It is not currently possible to export deployed resources using the CMP API; BAR files are not retained by the runtime once they are deployed; only the resources within them are stored.
You would need to backup individually the four resources that are owned by the broker: the system database (which contains your message flow and dictionary definitions), registry (/var/mqsi/registry), queues and anything on the filesystem (e.g. XSL, JARs).
And as fjb_saper says, make sure you keep your BAR files (and any source files!) under version control.
