Hi,
I have a client who would like to migrate their Websphere Transformation Extender flows to WMBv6.1 .
I know that using the WTX for WMB pluging node you can execute the WTX map(.mmc files). But i would like to know if it's possible to migrate the whole WTX flow into a message broker flow.
Since these are 2 completely differenct products(WTX being previously mercator) , i personally think it would be highly unlikely that you could migrate the flows from WTX to WMB. I would appreciate any information on this subject
Thanks _________________ Prithvi |

Interesting that you want to go this way... My impression of WTX etc was that it was becoming "the future" of transformation - i.e. being able to deploy transformation elements into multiple places / platforms without needing a full-on broker stack. (e.g. use it in DataPower appliances, lightweight C/C++ runtime, Broker node etc)
Unless there is a really strong reason behind wanting to leave WTX and go pure Broker, I think your best option is to use the WTX nodes for MB. That way you can leverage your existing work with minimal retesting, and keep the flexibility of WTX transformation in case you need it again in future. |
