Can anybody clarify if the usernames to create a cluster on different OSs have to be the same ?, do I need to create a username on the windows side and make it part of the mqm group, and then use that username to make the cluster ? |

Any username that is in the MQM admin group can do administrative tasks. If you have MQ admin rights on iSeries, you can do what is required. If the cluster includes Windows, then you or someone will need MQ admin rights on the Windows platform. The username need not be the same.
Technically, you don't create clusters; rather, you create cluster objects by entering the name of the cluster as an attribute of the object (queue, clussdr, clusrcvr, etc.) on a qmgr. These clustered object definitions activate cluster software that already exists in each qmgr. _________________ I like deadlines. I like to wave as they pass by.
