				| I support a JMS application running in WAS 6.1 that is sporatically generating MQJMS1024 (MQRC 2009) while making a connection to MQ via an MQ Queue Connection Factory. I've done a fair amount of reading about possible solutions to this, have tried disabling connection pooling, and have tried different TCP keepalive configurations. The application consistently gets the error after the functionality is first used after a JVM restart UNLESS the SVRCONN channel has first been stopped, then started. Aside from having the application code fixed to handle the exception, what tools do I have at my disposal for tuning MQ / WAS around this. _________________

Make sure that the application shutdown routine correctly releases the MQ resource.
Make sure that application users correctly release the MQ resource after use. (hint: you should never leave it to just be garbage collected!)

 Enjoy

				| Yes, fixing the application would indeed be the ideal solution. Let's assume I don't have that luxury. As an MQ/WAS admin, what do I have at my disposal to mask the problem that I haven't already employed? _________________
