We have to coordinate the deployment of some new message flows which handles messages from external client. Our experience so far is a newly deployed message flow is started automatically. So if there were already messages in the Input queue, it will be picked up immediately. However we have some business reasons that we do not want this to happen. We also have diificulties telling external client to stop sending messages until we tell them to do so. Is there a way to deploy a new message flow and have it stay in stop status until we start it ?
What we have tried is Input inhibited the Input queue before we deploy. But it will definitely be better if we can control the initial status of a newly deployed flow. |

I am running V6 and V6.1 on AIX.
Vitor's pointer give me the answer.
Just wondering if anyone else has a similar requirement or if this already in the product plan? |

If this is something you'd like to see, please raise a requirement with IBM, through your account rep.
Do this even if someone else has asked for it; it will help get it bumped up the priority stack. |
