Hi,
We all know that there are lot of experienced people in MQSeries, MQSI MQWF etc , interacting in this site. How about people submitting papers to this site about the projects or implimentation details, problems they faced and the solutions etc . Of course they dont have to mention the client name , where the project implimented etc.
So that people who is having interest can download and read. No one can have the working knowledge of all topics , or all features of MQ,MQSI. This way we can improve knowledge.
This is only an idea.If you dont like ignore this.
Thanks

Hmmm. We have a Documentation Section in our Software Repository Section. I guess we can create a White Papers category. |

I like this idea very much.... but would like to see the ability to create/modify papers under submitter control.
I have a bunch of papers at http://www.kolban.com/mq/ but would like a better home. |

Isn't create/modify already under submitter control?
I see the option to modify my posts but not not those of other posters.
Obviously Brandon would need to retain super user control, _________________ Bob Buxton

Hi,
I think as usual each individual has their control to edit/modify their posts. If they wish others can download the documents they can give the option.
Thanks

I think Neil was referring to updating one's whitepapers once they have been put in the software repository, as opposed to simply changing your post.
Right now, you can't upload directly to the software repository, rather you need to email the code/document to me and then I place it there after making sure the file is legitimate, i.e., not malicious, non-functioning, etc... _________________ Brandon Duncan

Here's the link to get to the Software Respository. Last I checked, I didn't see a "White Papers" section.
http://www.mqseries.net/pafiledb203/pafiledb.php
I noticed there were atleast a couple posts with links to white papers in the "Links" section.
On a side note to Brandon, do we actually have any material in the C# and Visual Basic section. Maybe you created those directories hoping others would post there. Or, maybe your currently reviewing the first additions. |

I figured whitepapers could be lumped into the "Documentation" category in the software repository.... The C# and Visual Basic categories were created because I received a submission from a user in these areas, but I haven't gotten around to testing/posting them... sorry! _________________ Brandon Duncan
