I am installing the high availability support pac MR01 but receive the error message AMQ9535 when I try and start the channel. The message exit has been compiled, correctly defined and available. Any ideas what is causing the error? I am running on Windows 2000 with MQ v 6.0.2.3. |

Are you sure it's been linked correctly?

I raised a call with IBM (even though they don't support this) and followed the limited instructions they sent me. They've told me the exit is defined in the msgexit field thus: exitname(MsgExit). The object "exitname" being the compiled dll. The configuration file defined in the msgdata field. |

But it's been linked with the correct version of the libs, as indicated in the thread I referenced? _________________ Honesty is the best policy.

The gcc compiler suggested is for a unix platform but I've adapted it as best I can for the Windows version.
I only have the mqm library linked in though as I can't find mqmcs, mqmzse, socket, lnsl or dl on my machine (which I'm sure doesn't help).
When I compile and then try to start the channel I now also receive AMQ6175. When I replace the new exit with my previous one AMQ6175 is not issued. So, no further forward, I'm afraid. |

Did you read this posting before you started playing with exits?
http://www.mqseries.net/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=20523
Secondly, IBM does NOT support GCC on Windows for compiling and linking WMQ related applications. But IBM does support MS Visual C++ (including Express Edition), so why don't you use a supported FREE compiler?
http://www.microsoft.com/express/vc/
I'm sure you searched this forum and found the following post where I detailed a fully functional makefile for MinGW (GCC for Windows).
http://www.mqseries.net/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=39230
If you really want to use an unsupported compiler then why didn't you use my makefile?
Please read and reread my posting called For newbie MQ Exit developers

Roger Lacroix
