Look here:

Pedantically I point out COBOL programs are not written in JCL. You'll need to modify whatever compile deck you're using as per your site standards.

Are you new to z/OS and mainframes? If so, find a mainframe person in your organization for some help. IBM has introductory z/OS courses: ES10A Fundamental System Skills in z/OS. From their website (URL below):

Quote:
Learn the fundamental skills to navigate and work in a z/OS environment, including the use of Interactive System Productivity Facility/Program Development Facility (ISPF/PDF) dialogs, Time Sharing Option/Extensions (TSO/E) commands, Job Control Language (JCL), selected utilities, and the UNIX System Services ISPF Shell. Hands-on lab projects may be done in teams depending on number of attendees and location
.

Job Control Launguage (JCL) is the mainframe batch scripting language. It is unlike everything else.
