Hi
We have a production MQ server where MQ 5.2 CSD 2 is running. The OS is AIX 4.3 ML9. We want to update the MQ version to 6. But since MQ6 is not supported in AIX 4.3 hence we are planning to migrate the whole setup to a new server. The new server will be having AIX 6.1 and MQ 6.0.2.3. Can anyone help me with the steps for this migration and also how to take the QManager Object definition backup as saveqmgr is not working in MQ 5.2. Thanks in advance. |

No, MS03 should work with a v5.2 queue manager, from what I understand of the code.
It might need to be recompiled to run locallly on that machine, though. _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |

On aix, you just need to use your local copy of make to run makefile.aix
I can't give you a great, detailed, answer right now. But it should be something like "make -f makefile.aix".
There's some instructions in the "read.me" file with the distribution. _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |
