Hi All,
I have a WMB v6 running on z/Linux. My user is in mqm, mqbrkrs groups.
Now, mqsilistaclentry and mqsicreateaclentry are giving this message
Code:
The utility did not receive an expected message from the Configuration Manager within a reasonable amount of time. The cause is described as: 'hasBeenUpdatedByConfigManager timed out'
Ensure that the Configuration Manager is running and that the correct connection parameters have been supplied to the utility. Use the -w flag to increase the amount of time to wait for responses.
BIP8071I: Successful command completion.
Increasing the timeout didn't help either. Configmgr service was started by another user and i can't Stop the configmgr using mqsistop or by killing the related process.
Is there a workaround to get mqsicreateaclentry or mqsistop to work in this situation. In a similar post here i read about changing the ownership of db.lck (how does it work.?)

Try using the ConfigMgr's service ID to add an ACL for your user.
Unless you're running as the service ID, the user ID used to start the CM, or have the correct ACL's already defined, you won't be able to use the mqsicreateaclentry command.
