Reworking an archaic system that is on WebSphere 5.0.2 and MQ.

Where in the world do you download bits for WebSphere 5.0.2.x these days? Searched all over the IBM site.

You don't. That version of MQ hasn't been supported in years. If your shop purchased Extended Support of this version, then they may have a special way of getting that source code.

Clearly this is version 5.0.2.x of WAS, and not 5.0.2.x of MQ.

Certainly, MQ v 5.3 would work with this version of WAS.

Clearly nobody should install anything other than v6, for any reason.
