Environment: WMB 6.1

While creating message definition for a message set, I need to set an element to some default value.

Is it possible to set with out setting the lenght of it, as I am using TDS message format?

Help highly appreciated.

You have the option to set the default value in the logical properties of the element.

TDS ignores default values unless it is writing a fixed length structure (that means a structure with Data Element Separation set to 'Fixed Length' ).
