Hi Guys,

I have MQclient installed on windows machine communicating with a z/OS queue manager with the help of SVRCONN. I have used:

set MQSERVER=CHANNELNAME/TCP/DOMAINNAME.COM

I am able to put a message amqsputc sample.

The issue is when I log off and log back on the cmd prompt on windows and when I try putting another message in I got 2058.

I again set the MQSERVER environment variable and I am able to put the message.

Do I have to set the environment variable everytime I log on the Windows machine??

Can anyone help me here?

This is not an MQ thing.

This is basic Windows usage.

Right-click on "My Computer", select properties, meditate on your choices.

Or ask your Windows system administrator.

Thanks a lot Jefflowry!!

I had to add environment variable name and value to make it permanent. It was an windows issue.
