Hi,

I was wondering if someone can guide me how to save an existing queue managers configuration i.e queue names, channels, listner etc. So that i can create a similar settings on a different computer/environment. Someone has mention savemqgr command, i'm struggling to get this to work as i downloaded the pack from IBM site. Could you help with what i would need to do to in steps to save the setting and run on another computer. Any help on this would be much appreciated. Thanks.

If you have saveqmgr installed on the same machine as the queue manager, then you can just say "./saveqmgr -m <qmgrname>".

If you have saveqmgr installed on another machine than the queue manager, you have two choices: use saveqmgrc (the client), or configure a default route from a queue manager that is local to the saveqmgr install to the one you're interested in, and then use "saveqmgr -m <localqm> -r <remoteqm>".

This is all laid out pretty well in the 'read.me' file that comes with saveqmgr.

I intend, for some later release, to include a more comprehensive manual that includes basic usage scenarios and possibly even some sample scripts.
