Hi All,

i've a queue manager running for almost two years, as you aware at frequent intervals (after 10000 transcations i think) it issues AMQ7467 and AMQ7468 messages to state the logfiles required for restart recovery and media recovery....here, AMQ7468 always tell the S000000.LOG is required for media recovery irrespective it's running for almost two years

is there anything wrong with that? if not ...do i have to keep all those log files starts from S000000.LOG to have a media recovery?

and i think it should move forward like it does for restart recovery

can you pl clarify my doubt?

thanks in advance

If you've never made a new recovery image of course it's going to use the one created at start up (and scattered through the logs as new objects were created). Hence it needs all the logs, until you tell it otherwise.

No it shouldn't - see above.

See the System Admin manual for details on linear logging and how to housekeep it.

I think I've spotted why it's still using the original media recovery image....

Look up linear logs in the System Admin manual, check out the various posts on the forum discussing it and also the support pac.

Just like it says in the docmentation then?

Don't forget to review the support pac for assistance in archiving unneeded logs.
