Hi all,
Currenlty I have MQ 6.0 installed on a Solaris 5.9 Box which is a playground environment.
I wrote an mq Startup script and would like to know where should I include it so that I have MQ an automatic startup with the OS.
Please advise.
thanks,
vijaya |

This is more a UNIX admin question, than a MQ question. You need to work with your UNIX admin to include your script in the RC scripts -- depends on platform and your company's convention, it might be different where they are how they are organized but the UNIX admin should know that.
Make sure your script is run as "mqm" by the RC scripts. |

We were running the script directly first. But it did not run for some reason. Once we have su - mqm -c scriptpath, it works fine. |

Thanks for your thoughts.
When I approached my unix admin he just added the start/shutdown script to /etc/init.d/ directly and the symbolic link it on /etc/rc3.d and /etc/rc1.d.
Thanks,
