Hi there,
Is there any possible way to install MQ Server 6 on Vista Business or is only the client supported.
Your help will be much appreciated.
Thanx!!! |

Only the client is supported.
It may be possible to persuade the server to run on Vista Business, and if you achieve this please post your method!
But any problems you encounter you'll get very limited help with, and you'll never be sure of their exact cause (is it a problem with your configuration, your application, your installation or Vista itself). _________________ Honesty is the best policy.

Thanks very much!!!
I managed to get the client installed with no issues.
I guess we will just have to wait until IBM releases a Vista compliant MQ server.

Or run the MQ Server on a proper O/S rather than Windoze!

I had initial problems getting WMQ 6 Server to work on Vista.
I have, however, got it working now... although I'm not going to be trying anything fancy with it - All I did was change the compatibility mode on all the key executables being used to XP SP 2, (which includes the install exes). So far I like Vista a lot more than XP too (although my new laptop is a powerful beast!).
