Hello,

Currently we have Workflow and Database on one AIX1 box. It's been like this for few years. Now, we are thinking of moving Database to a new AIX2 box and keeping workflow on the same old AIX1. These are the steps we did so far.
1. Installed DB2 on new AIX2 and created required file systems
2. Created DB2 instances for workflow runtime database on AIX2
3. Copied current Database from AIX1 to AIX2
4. Catalogued DB2 Node on AIX1

What steps we need to execute on workflow configuration ?
a. Can we update fmcrc file manually to change RTDatabaseInstanceIsRemote from 0 to 1
b. any changes in qm.ini file

Any better approach without recreating workflow configuration. Please advise.

Why do you hesitate to recreate the configuration? It is a 5 minute step.
You could
- backup the config directory
- delete the existing config
- create a new config with the same ID
- hopefully throw away your backup
