Hi,

I have RAD v7.5 installed on my windows xp desktop. We use SVN/subclipse 1.4.x for version control, and it is already installed with the RAD version I have.

I also have WMB v6.1 toolkit on my machine, but I don't know if I can ( or need to ) install the subclipse / SVN client 1.4.x again for the MB toolkit. I want to use version control for message broker source code as well. Can somebody please tell me how I can do that ?

Do I need to install subclipse 1.4.x from toolkit -->Help-->Software Updates-->Find and Install --> Search for new features to install --> New Remote Site ..... and then give the name/URL for subclipse ?

Or can I use the subclipse already installed for RAD ?

Can someone please guide me or give me a definitive answer ?

Thanks
diwakar.

You seem to have two seperate instances of Eclipse. There, AFAIK, you are going to install SVN into both instances.
Why not try it? If it messes up all you need to do in uninstall the Toolkit and install int again.

You need to install Subclipse for the toolkit as well because, as smdavies99 noted, you've got 2 separate instances of Eclipse.

It's better to install them separately. For one, the RAD may be at a different Eclipse level...

Depending on where you installed subclipse, you might be able to link to the same location from the Toolkit. But do the separate install if you don't understand very much what I just said.

I installed them separately, the same version of subclipse to both RAD and Toolkit. And it worked fine.

Thanks for all the suggestions.
