If I understand it correctly, the properties folder is build by the parser. Is this true. I have trouble finding in the documentation where the data in the properties folder is coming from. For example the CCSID and Encoding value the Creation Time and so on. I think they are from the MQMD. But I have noticed before that sometimes the CCSID value is 0 where the MQMD CCSID is 37 (I can not rememeber under what situation and if my memory is serving me right). Can some one point me to the documentation ? I tried to search info center with "properties" or properties folder", it results in too many hits.

Here is the Infocenter page that gives very basic introduction to Properties folder.

http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infocenter/wmbhelp/v6r0m0/index.jsp?topic=/com.ibm.etools.mft.doc/ac12610_.htm

Regarding the problem of CCSID you are facing, you will need to be
more specific in which circumstances you observed it.

Thanks for the response. I have read that page, it says
" The majority of these fields map to fields in the supported WebSphere MQ headers, if present, and are passed to the appropriate parser when a message is delivered from one node to another.."
But as I mentioned I have noticed before that the CCSID field in the properties folder is 0 where as the MQMD is 37. That's the reason why I am wondering if there is any documented info on how the fileds are set.
