Hi,
I have created a cluster made up of two full repositories. The two full repositories are on a Tandem machine running MQ5.3. However i added a queue manager running MQ5.1 to the cluster but cannt see any of the cluster object in MQ Explorer
I can also see the following error in the MQ logs for this queue manager. QREPD010 is a full repository
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
2008/02/28 17.00.44
AMQ9422: Repository manager error, RC=545284148
EXPLANATION:
An internal error has occurred.
ACTION:
Collect the items listed in the 'Problem determination' section of the System
Administration manual and contact your IBM support center.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
2008/02/28 17.00.44
AMQ9999: Channel program ended abnormally.
EXPLANATION:
Channel program 'TO.QREPD010' ended abnormally.
ACTION:
Look at previous error messages for channel program 'TO.QREPD010' in the error
files to determine the cause of the failure.

Did v5.1 support clustering? Or is this v5.1 in a weird, not-the-same-numbering-as-distributed-platforms way?

Hi,
Thanks for the response.
MQ versions on Tandem are different to distributed versions.
MQ5.3 on Tandem is equivalent to MQ6.0 on distributed
I beleive MQ5.1 on Tandem does support MQ Clustering as i can see system cluster objects.... |

Then I'd look for the FDC (or equivalent) that matches the internal error and go from there. As suggested in the error.
Start with the basics and work forward. If it was a Unix box I'd restart the repository manager and see if it stayed up (while checking the FDC).
See above for disclaimer!! _________________ Honesty is the best policy.

The 5.1 queue manager has been re-started. However when i issue the dis clusmqgr command i get an error
MQSC >dis clusqmgr(*)
9 : dis clusqmgr(*)
AMQ8434: The repository is unavailable.
Can someone confirm whether MQ Clustering is supported in MQ5.1 for Tandem please |

Behold my lack of knowledge on Tandem spectacularly demonstrated!
By "FDC file" I meant the equivalent items on your platform, as described by:

ACTION:
Collect the items listed in the 'Problem determination' section of the System
Administration manual and contact your IBM support center.
|
Those items. _________________ Honesty is the best policy.

V 5.1 was funny I once found fdc files in the ZMQSSYS sub vol on my system for some odd reason. V5.3 is pretty staright forward but as I told by IBM you should make sure you are patched to V53.1.1 as they fixed a bunch of things! Maybe clustering is one of them. There FDC in the /var/mqm/qmgrs/error directory in OSS there are also saveabend files in the /tmp directory if they installed with the IBM default parms.
Have the Tandem S/A check these areas. BTW we do not do clustering on ur systems so I can't help with that!
