Hi All,
It gives me immense pleasure to introduce to you 'MQ eXplored'.
What started out as a small initiative to learn to use the MQ provided PCF APIs, has in the past few months emerged into this small utility which will hopefully make a MQ Admin's work a little bit more easier.
The tool is built on SWT and provides a GUI view for running the MQSC commands. In other words, it does what the MQ Explorer does, but tries to do it better. For example, purge/delete/define/alter multiple queues at the same time.
I would not want to give a lot of write-up here but instead would encourage you all to download and try it out, I'm sure everyone will be able to work around the options.
The tool is just a beta release for now and is basically to get a feel of the public response to such a tool and where we can go with this. For now, I would like your support in testing the current implemented functionality, raising defects and responding back with what features you would like to see going ahead.
I would also like to invite our more knowledgeable 'MQ dudes' to see if there is a future for this tool, and contribute by being a part of the open source development team, or atleast contributing code snippets etc. Currently there are only two members on the dev team, and both of us are quite caught up with day-to-day office work. And that is why, I would like to take this time to specially thank my friend Srivatsa Katta, his awesome Java skills have helped make this possible...thx dude.
Finally, please leave your comments here or on the site link provided below.
MQ eXplored Beta 1.0.0

Hi guys,
Glad to hear that ppl are actually trying the tool out
ramires
Yes, I realise there was a blunder there...I forgot to mention that the 'mqjbnd05.dll' needs to be put into the main folder along with the other dll's there...I have made that correction in the ReadMe file.

The pop-up window when you run the app(or the File->Connect to QM), gives you a radio button to connect to a Remote QM.
