Hi,

I am using Websphere MQ to send information between Java clients. Generally I am using pub/sub. Now I want to add .Net clients.
My first option is XMS but I read that performance is not first concern in XMS and XMS is not advised when performance is critical like in my project.

Is there any way to implement pub/sub in .Net and publish data from a .Net client and subscribe it from Java clients or vice versa?
Do you have any suggestion about it?

My test configuration is
Windows XP
IBM Websphere MQ 5.3
IBM Message Service Client for .NET 1.2.6

Can you please be more specific?

In general a pub/sub model will perform slower than a p2p model but I wouldn't know of any specific performance problems in the XMS pub/sub model...

Enjoy

In IBM website (http://www-128.ibm.com/developerworks/websphere/library/techarticles/0509_phillips/0509_phillips.html), it says

...and when not to use XMS

When using WebSphere MQ and maximum performance is required

XMS provides a wrapper on top of the native WebSphere MQ programming verbs (MQI), which means that an XMS application may not perform as well as a well-written MQI application.

Basically what I am trying to do is to form a pub/sub model in which both .Net and Java applications can be pub or sub.
Now I am using JMS to implement pub/sub model between Java applications and now I want to add .Net publishers and subscribers to this model.

That just says that "Pub/sub is slower than point-to-point".

It doesn't say, for example, that XMS is slower than JMS.

Just use XMS.
