Hi guys,

Here is the case:

QM1 and QM2 are in a cluster (Repositories). There is a cluster queue ql defined on QM2. Application connected to QM1 wants to put the messages to this clustered ql on QM2.
My question is how and where will the SYSTEM.CLUSTER.TRANSMIT.QUEUE will fit.(In regards to name resolution)..I have gone through the Queue Manager Clusters guide..and couldnt understand the idea behind it.

Regards,

Velocity

The transmit queue has no effect on name resolution.

Name resolution has an effect on which transmit queue is used to store messages on the local queue manager before they are forwarded to the remote queue manager.

In clustering, however, the only transmit queue ever used is SYSTEM.CLUSTER.TRANSMIT.QUEUE.

Thanks a lot Jefflowry!!

So the SYSTEM.CLUSTER.TRANSMIT.QUEUE will be located on QM1 when an app tries to put messages on ql on QM2. Correct me if I am wrong.

SYSTEM.CLUSTER.TRANSMIT.QUEUE exists on every queue manager.
