Does anyone know somewhere I can get a code sample that involves MQ Grouping in CICS/COBOL? We're considering this for a new application on the mainframe and I've been unable to find a COBOL sample thus far. Thanks for any replies.

AFAIK there's sample code supplied with z/OS like there is with other platforms.

Ask your sys prog where he's installed it.

I am the sysprog and I've checked the SCSQCOBS samples. I couldn't find a sample that included message group logic, perhaps I'm just missing it. I'll double-check as it can be easy to overlook, but I'm still curious to hear from others.

One of the better example of using groups is the getgroup sample provided by IBM in the samples on their site, and yes I accept that it's written in C but it demonstrates the MQ concepts and calls.

You could also try http://www.mqseries.net/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=39179 or of course Roger's kindly supplied archive at http://www.capitalware.biz/mq_code_cobol.html for COBOL samples.
