Hello,
I read the manual on Statime. If I set it to say Statime=30 with only SMFSTAT, it will mean every consecutive 30 minutes from the start of the qmgr, statistics will be collected.
I used support pacs MP1B to gen some SMF 115 statistics. The report generated showed e.g. at 01:00:00 hrs MQGET = 100, at 01:30:00 hrs MQGET = 200.
My query on the interpretation of reports:
1. Does the MQGET=200 produced at 01:30:00 hrs include the 100 MQGETs at 01:00:00?
Or
2. The MQGET = 200 is the total no. of MQGET from 01:00:01 to 01:30:00?
Or
3. What else?
Pls advise.
Thanks.

why dont you test it by doing a high number of gets on interval x, and then doing no gets on interval x+1, then you see in your report if the number of gets from x are also included in x+1 or not.
or maybe you can answer yourself from your current report. is the numer increasing at every interval or is there any interval that is lower then the interval before?
from my point of view, its the number of gets in the interval. it does not really make sense to accumulate them (for me). _________________ Regards, Butcher |

Hello Mr Butcher,
Thanks for your advise.
Yes, it should be the number of gets during the interval.
Thanks.
