basically if you use a server such as a Sunfire T2000, it only has 1 CPU but it has 8 cores. How does the licensing work? The old server was a pSeries/AIX with 4 CPU's. ANyone have info or link for this? thanks

It doesn't matter what brand the server is. You have to consider the brand of the chip and the # of cores. It looks like you will need twice as many licenses on your new box when compared to your old.

But ultimately F.J.'s answer is the best one.
