| Associating maps in connector congifurator |

Hi,
I am new to WBI. I am trying a simple example of transferring an employee object from one connector to another connector using GBO employee.
I have created 2 BOs EmpA and EmpB and a GBO GenEmp. Then I created 4 maps EmpA_GenEmp, GenEmp_EmpA, EmpB_GenEmp, GenEmp_EmpB.
Next I created 2 connectors TestCon1 and TestCon2. Associated EmpA (AgentSupport checked) and GenEmp BOs with TestCon1 and closed connector configurator. Similarly, associated EmpB (AgentSupport checked) and GenEmp BOs with TestCon2 and closed connector configurator.
After this as per the documentation, when I open TestCon1, I should see the appropriate maps on the Associated Maps tab. In this case map EmpA_GenEmp against EmpA for TestCon1 and map GenEmp_EmpB against GenEmp for TestCon2. But I do not see them on the associated maps tab page.
Is this ok? If not what could be the reason.
Next, I associated the appropriate maps explicitly.
I created a simple collaboration with Create scenario, bound the connectors and deployed everything on ICS.
Now, When I send EmpA.Create from TestCon1, I receive EmpB.Create in TestCon2, but it has no data. All attributes are null/empty.
I guess the mapping is not being processed.
Do maps get invoked automatically or in the collaboration we need to invoke them explicitly?
If we need to invoke them explicitly, then why the Associated Maps tab page is required?

| see that all the business Object names are correct and and u have given agent support the all the ASBOs ............. This mainly happens wen u make some mistake with business objects associated with the maps.... |

Maps are not getting invoked in collaboration.... always remember that only GBO is operated upon in collaboration ....... mapping takes place at the connectors............and having GBO is the best practice, because if in future source or destination is changed we only have to change the connector configurations........and not the business logic.... |

Thanks.
I got the answer.
I was making the very basic mistake.
In the connector configurator I have assigned ASBOs correctly.
But in the collaboration I was again assigning ASBOs to the ports Hence the map was not getting invoked. I have now changed the BO in port configuration to GBO and everything is working fine.
But I wonder, this very basic but very important thing is not mentioned explicitely anywhere in the documentation for collaboration.
