Hi All.
I am newbie. Just tried to install MQ server V6.0 on my laptop running Windows XP SP2 and there is no Domain Controller running on this host. I am not sure if i can install MQ server at all on this laptop in the absance of Domain Controller.
Please advice if it is possible at all? if yes, what is the work around and what options do i have to choose during "Prepare MQ Network Wizard".
Please advice if someone has already done similar installation or have some knowledge to guide me through!
It's not asking about what's running on your laptop.
It's asking about the userids that you want to use with MQ.
If you just want to do local testing, using an id defined on your local machine (your login ID), then just ignore the bits about Domain Controller.
If your login ID is not defined locally, but is defined on an AD domain controller, then you may need to talk to your Domain Admins a bit. _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general.
