Where can we se the kernel parameters necessary for MQ installatino on Solaris 10? The solaris folks say it is not in /etc/system anymore

check the "quick beginnings for solaris", i think everything you need is in that document.

If the solaris admins don't know how to set kernel parameters on the box they're administrators for this points to a deeper problem.

Look in the current version of the Quick Beginnings for Solaris at http://publibfp.boulder.ibm.com/epubs/pdf/amqdac09.pdf. On Page 14 there is a section headed 'Resource Limit Configuration' this has been updated for Solaris 10 since GA of Websphere MQ Version 6.
