Job Description
Designs, creates, and maintains middleware technologies and integration solutions.
Performs quality control and auditing of middleware instances to ensure accurate and appropriate use.
Projects long-range requirements for middleware services and infrastructure.
Develops strategic middleware and integration solutions to support business needs.
Functional Responsibilities: Designs, analyzes, tests, implements, maintains. and controls middleware application integration solutions and message transport solutions across multiple platforms.
Researches and recommends solutions for integrating new systems with each other and with legacy systems to create an integrated software platform across the MetLife Enterprise.
Job Requirements
Bachelor's Degree or relevant experience is required.
Must have MQSeries engineering and administration experience on distributed platforms.
Must have a background with Websphere Message broker (WMB) installation and administration.
MQSeries/WMB architecture and configuration design including implementation of failover and recovery strategies is required.
Candidate should have experience using MQ Diagnostic Tools.
Strong communications (verbal and written) skills and troubleshooting background is necessary.
Must be willing to participate on a rotating call schedule.
MVS/zOS background (in addition to strong AIX experience) preferred. webMethods background a plus.
Software development and vendor experience a plus.
Database background considered a plus.
Proven ability to manage projects and technical teams highly desirable.
