Hi all,

Apologies if I'm missing something obvious here, but does the ESQL code assist and validation work properly with XML substitution groups?

I get the old 'Unresolvable message field reference' warning and when I try code assist it only gives me the head level entity, not the available substitutions from the group.

I can see in the message set that the relavent elements are in the substitution group, so I'm pretty confident that the message set is correctly formed. Also the ESQL I'm looking at is an export from a mapping node which correctly identified the substitution elements, but when you look at the ESQL the field reference warnings are given.

I'm on toolkit ver 6.0.2.

Sounds like a defect. I presume you have tried cleaning/rebuilding your workspace once or twice

Yeah - more times than I care to remember!

Was hoping someone else had tried it and could confirm one way or the other.

Time to find out who's got the IBM contact details then...
